Live Polling in Google Slides!

I know that so many people love using Google Drive for the convenience, collaboration, and ease of sharing. But, when it comes to Slides, there are several things that teachers have been looking for. Polling and quizzing within your presentation is a top contender.

Well, I just found out today that Poll Everywhere is aiming to solve that request (assuming you are a Google Chrome user)!


Poll Everywhere just released a Polling in Google Slides extension for Chrome. When you install it, a Poll Everywhere button will appear in your Slides toolbar giving you the options to insert a poll that exists in your Poll Everywhere account already or the ability to create a new one.

Once you have inserted your poll, you won't actually be able to see it until you are presenting the Slides and have the poll turned on in your Poll Everywhere account. Otherwise you wind up with a screen that looks like this:

It looks like a great solution for those of you that want to retain any transitions, links, collaboration, editing capabilities, or videos that you would normally lose by taking the presentation in PDF form and importing it into Nearpod, Pear Deck, or GoFormative.

With a week left in October, it'd be awesome if we got more teachers (and students) at our schools to click on the link in the message below to do a free one minute SchoolSpeedTest! It only takes a minute and we'd love to get more data. Thank you for your help! I think by now every who has followed this blog knows that I take in a TON of information each day in hopes of finding you information that I deem to be useful to pass along to make your day easier.
